Gelligaer Historical Society

The Society's studies local history in the area of the old parish of Gelligaer, including Bargoed, as well as the village of Gelligaer itself. The society promotes this by arranging lectures, discussions, field meetings and by encouragement of research. It promotes local history of the Gelligaer area and the surrounding villages and encourages visits to the heritage sites.
