Recent news from Bargoed Male Voice Choir
The choir recently held a presentation for popular conductor and musical director Lionel Hughes. Lionel and his wife, Molly, were presented with a garden bench to mark his fortieth year in the choir, twenty five as the Musical Director.
The choir also went on tour to Cracow, Poland, where they sang at two concerts and also gave an impromptu concert at a Cathedral in a salt mine 500 metres below ground!
Whilst in Poland the choir visited many sites including the factory owned by Schindler, of Schindler's list, which housed many of the Jews he managed to rescue from the concentration camps at Birkau and Auschwiz.
